Go to the top menu of the platform and select View -> Languages. Choose your preferred language, then close and reopen the platform for the changes to take effect.
By default, the charts always display the bid price. To view the ask price, right-click on the chart, select Properties > Common, and check the 'Show Ask Line' box.
The server time on the platform is either GMT + 2 or GMT + 3 depending on Daylight savings. This ensures the daily candles can follow the NY close times.
Open your platform and select File – Open Data Folder – MQL4 – Experts and then paste the .ex4 file. When you close and reopen the platform your EA should then show in the Navigator window under ‘Expert Advisors’.
Ensure ‘AutoTrading’ is enabled on your top toolbar. Drag the EA over from the Navigator Window to your chart, and under the ‘Common’ tab make sure ‘Allow Live Trading’ is checked. If your EA is successfully attached you will see a smiley face icon in the top right corner of your chart.
Select Tools – Options – Server tab and then select the ‘Change’ button next to the password field.
Hover your mouse over the account number in the Navigator window, and it will show your balance and leverage.
Select the ‘Account History’ tab and then right click and select ‘Custom Period’. Enter the dates you want the statement for and then select ‘OK’. Then right click again and select ‘Save As Report’. Your statement will then open as an HTML file.
Select Tools – History Centre and then select the instrument you need data for. Then select the time frame and click 'Download'. This will download any available data to your chart. Please note that smaller time frames won’t go as far back as higher time frames. All additional data comes from the MQ database, and we are unable to provide further data beyond that.
First, find your MetaQuotes ID number from your mobile app (under Settings – Chat and Messages). Then, open your trading platform, go to Tools – Options – Notifications, and check the 'Enable Push Notifications' box. This usually means one or more of your login details are incorrect. Please return to the main login window and double-check your account number and password. This can occur after a Windows or MT4 update. We recommend making a backup of your MT4 templates by saving them on your PC: go to Charts – Template – Save Template. You can upload your saved templates in the following way once they are missing: Charts – Template – Load Template.
Please ensure your ‘Allow AutoTrading’ button at the top of your platform is selected and showing Green. Swap is a form of interest that is applied to any positions that are held overnight. It can be either positive or negative, depending on what you are trading and the side of your position.
To view the swap rates, right-click on the symbol in the Market Watch window and select ‘Specifications’. Scroll down to find the long and short swap rates. Note that Forex swap rates are displayed in points.
Positions that are held open over Wednesday night will incur a triple swap charge. This is to account for the settlement of trades over the weekend, where no swap rates are charged since the market is closed.
Swap is charged at 00:00 (server time) for any trades that remain open from the previous day.
Swap is calculated as: (pip value for 1 lot x No of lots x swap rate x number of nights)/ 10. Please note the answer will be in the quote (second) currency of the pair you are trading.
